Teach your students Conflict Resolution with the ultimate plan for dealing with bullying. Don’t be HOT, Don’t be COLD, BeCool!

Dealing with bullying is a very challenging, often frightening task for most of us. Certainly bullies on the school ground, particularly dangerous bullies, have received considerable attention from the media. In this module students will gain a new perspective on bullying.

BeCool teaches students about the three basic ways we respond to bullying: Aggressively (HOT), Passively (COLD) or Assertively (COOL). In each of the video scenarios, children are challenged by a difficult person or situation. Your students will watch as their video peers hesitate and then model three different ways to respond to conflict: Giving Up (COLD), Blowing Up (HOT) or Staying in Control (COOL).

This module will help students understand bullying and learn why people bully. Most importantly, they will learn to recognize dangerous bullies. With the information provided in the vignettes and follow-up activities, you will help minimize the negative impact of bullying on your students. The results of being the victim of a bully can include severe distress, physical injury and damage to self-esteem. In this segements your students will see three examples of the best solutions to bullying: anti-victim strategies, ignore/proceed, and get help, modeled by peers their own age.

The BeCool Paradigm is research based and truly works.

My students were glued to the screen. Love Stanfield’s humor. This is the way to teach social skills.

Using Humor to Teach Social Skills

Humor = Retention

We believe you learn best when you laugh. By making the classroom experience more comfortable and enjoyable, humor can make teaching and learning more effective, especially for the K12 segment. At Stanfield, we use humor as an integral part of our curricula.

If you as a speaker don’t help your audience to remember your lessons, then you’re wasting everyone’s time. Humor… can help accomplish that needed retention…
